Believing that Conversation about movies is the true prize, and that no conversation is complete without Food and Drink, The Eiffel Foundation treats the winning authors for a three-hour brunch prepared by Chef Martin Simolka (Rivage Mediterranean cuisine - Sofitel Scribe Paris ) at the Parisienne hotel where movies were first shown to a paying audience by Louis and Auguste Lumière--Le Hotel Scribe on 28 December 1895 (Story telling of the hotel - Sofitel Scribe Paris Opéra). After hearing of the history of cinema's first showing at this hotel, the winning authors are escorted atop the nearby la Tour Eiffel for the view that has astonished millions of visitors to the City of Light, and feted with caviar and champagne as the sun sets.

There is no fee to enter The Eiffel Award. Small presses and large presses, commercial publishers and independent ones, veteran authors and first-time writers are all welcomed heartily.
